Report by Senior Social Worker Charles Muigai
This is a yearly activity organized by Charitable Children Institutions (CCI’s).
There are 9 in number from Kiambu and Githunguri Sub-Counties where each CCI have to representative in the organizing committee. This event started in the year 2014. The committee which organized different children activities is chaired by Charles Muigai – Mothers‘ Mercy Home Asst. Admin/Senior Social worker.
This year the event took place on 10th November 2017at Ngegu Primary school ground in Kiambu Sub-County. The event was colouful although there was heavy rain in morning hours. All the children and caregivers from different CCI’s were full of energy to participate and have fun.
We need to bring these Institutions together where we share ideas andalso the children can be able to socialize.
At MMH we had 48children who participated in the even from age 6yearsto 18years. The total number of all participants was 340.
There were different activities during that day to make the day fun and enjoyable. i.e. football, volleyball, sack races, bouncing castle, dancing, marble game, hoola hoop.
Every one enjoyed and looking forward for another one next year.
