These are laboratory assistant Sylvia and laboratory technician Solomon in February 2014 while working in the Medical Centre. The laboratory is a very busy and frequented place and helps our physicians and local nurses to find the correct diagnosis.

Glasses for Kenia
Last week the „Brillenstudio Jaster“ in Idstein has provided us with a huge collection of used and measured eyeglasses for our Medical Centre in Kenia.
Captain Fokko Doyen, member of the board from Cargo Human Care, visited Mrs Jaster in Idstein, to receive the donation of the glasses.

Einsatz im April 2013 im Medical-Center am Mothers’ Mercy Home und im ‚Nest’
Gemeinsam mit Dr. Harald Begemann, Gynäkologe aus der Nähe von Hamburg, war ich vom 14.- 18.4.2013 in Nairobi. Für mich war dieser Einsatz schon der 15., für meinen Kollegen der Ersteinsatz.
Dabei denke ich gerne an den Herbst 2007 zurück, als unser ehemaliger ärztlicher Leiter, PD Dr. Sven Sievers, mich bei meinem ersten Einsatz einwies. Wahnsinn,…

Kampf gegen das Elend in Nairobi
Der Frankfurter Verein Cargo Human Care finanziert ein Kinderheim in Kenias Hauptstadt Nairobi und betreut eine medizinische Ambulanz. Zum Ärzte-Team gehören auch zwei Kinderärzte aus Frankfurt und Offenbach. Immer wieder reisen sie nach Kenia und kämpfen gegen mangelnde Hygiene und die krassen Gegensätze zwischen arm und reich:
