The Alumni 2022 Reunion took place on the 1st October 2022 at the John Kaheni Residence (JKR). Students have been exiting the program yearly since 2013 with the latest being 2021 and the Goal of the Reunion was to bring all past beneficiaries from the Mother Mercy Home (MMH), Foster, NEST and CURA programs together. It was also an opportunity to get to know their current status, give them the opportunity to interact, share their life experiences among themselves and the young ones who are yet to exit the program.
The event started at midday, the weather was good and the atmosphere was great. Getting everyone to attend was a difficult task but quite a decent number showed up. Those with kids brought them along and it was heartwarming to see how happy the Alumni were to reunite after many years of going through their separate journeys in life. It was also a moment of gratitude and thankfulness for all the support they got from Cargo Human Care (CHC) and all the opportunities the program has offered and provided to them.
It was a day full of smiles, laughter, lots of food and beverages and the feedback from those who showed up and those who couldn’t make it was very positive. There was a cake cutting ceremony to end the day and everyone is looking forward to the next reunion.
